What Our Forestry Mulching Covers

Mulching, Grinding, and Right-of-Way Clearing

From grinding cedar and brush in place to opening utility and pipeline easements, we match the equipment and method to your land and leave it the way you need it.

Forestry mulching

Grinding standing brush, cedar, and small-to-medium trees into mulch in place. Ideal when you want the ground covered and the material left on site instead of hauled off.

Horizontal and tree grinding

Grinding down timber, brush, and cleared material to a manageable state, including larger-scale grinding ahead of dirt work.

ROW clearing and right-of-way corridors

ROW clearing for power line and transmission line corridors, access, fence lines, and property boundaries where you need a defined, cleared strip.

Utility, power line, and pipeline ROW clearing

Opening and maintaining utility easements, transmission line right of way, and pipeline right-of-ways so crews and equipment can get through.

Forestry Mulching vs. Traditional Clearing

Which Method Fits Your Land?

Forestry Mulching

  • Grinds standing brush, cedar, and small-to-medium timber in place
  • No burn piles to manage and no haul-off
  • Leaves a mulch layer that helps hold the red clay soil
  • Often cheaper on light brush and cedar
  • A strong fit for right of way, easement, and corridor work

Traditional Land Clearing

  • Removes the trees, brush, stumps, and roots
  • Hauls or works the material off the site
  • Leaves clean, graded, build-ready ground
  • The fit for heavy timber or when you are about to build
  • Handles mature blackjack and post oak too big to mulch

Mulching is not always the cheaper option. On heavy hardwoods, or when the material has to leave the site, full clearing can make more sense. We read the ground in person and tell you honestly which way actually costs you less.

Is Forestry Mulching Right for Your Property?

Mulching Is Usually the Fit If...

  • You want land cleared without burn piles or haul-off
  • The property is brush, cedar, and small-to-medium timber rather than large hardwoods
  • You need a right of way (ROW), easement, or utility corridor opened up
  • You want a mulch layer left behind to help hold the soil

If any of these sound like your property, a free walk-through is the fastest way to find out whether mulching or full clearing is the better call.

Forestry Mulching Cost in Oklahoma

How Much Does Forestry Mulching Cost?

Forestry mulching is priced per job, after we walk the property. There is no honest flat rate we can quote sight unseen, because two lots of the same size can be very different jobs depending on density and tree size. What we can promise is a firm number before any work starts, and a free estimate to get it.

On light brush and cedar, mulching is often cheaper than full clearing, because there is no piling, no burning, and no haul-off. On heavy hardwoods, or when the material has to leave the site, full clearing can make more sense. We read the ground in person and tell you which way actually costs you less.

Forestry Mulching FAQs

Forestry Mulching Questions, Answered

Is forestry mulching cheaper than traditional clearing?
It often is on the right property, because there is no burning and no haul-off, but not always. On heavy hardwoods or where the material has to leave the site, traditional clearing can make more sense. We price the job after seeing it and tell you which method fits best.
How much does forestry mulching cost?
It is priced per job based on acreage, density, tree size, and terrain. We give you a firm number after an on-site walk-through, and the estimate is free.
Do you do ROW clearing and easement clearing?
Yes. ROW clearing is a core part of what we do. We clear right of way (ROW) corridors for power lines and transmission lines, fence lines, and utility and pipeline easements, and we can maintain them on an ongoing basis.
Do you have to haul the material away?
Usually not with mulching, that is the point: the brush and timber are ground into a mulch layer that stays on site. If you want material removed, we will scope that separately.
Do you offer right of way clearing and utility easement clearing?
Yes. We handle right of way clearing for access corridors, fence lines, and property boundaries, and we clear utility easements and pipeline right of ways so crews and equipment can get through. We can open a corridor once or keep it maintained on an ongoing basis. Tell us the width and length you need and we will scope it on the walk-through.
Do you offer skid steer forestry mulching?
Yes. We run mulching gear on the machine that fits the job, and skid steer forestry mulching is a good match on tighter lots, corridors, and lighter density where a smaller footprint helps. On heavier timber or open acreage we match the equipment to the density and terrain instead of forcing one setup.
What size trees can you mulch?
Forestry mulching is built for brush, cedar, and small-to-medium standing timber, which covers most overgrown Oklahoma properties. Once you get into large hardwoods like mature blackjack and post oak, or where the ground has to be graded to build, full clearing is usually the better call. We look at your timber in person and tell you honestly which way to go.
